FAQ

  • We will continue with the 2023 start and finish point, which is at Ludlow Rugby Club, Ludlow, Shropshire SY8 1EE.
    Race registration will take place at Ludlow Rugby Club, Ludlow, Shropshire SY8 1EE.
  • The race will be on Sunday 14 July 2023. The race will begin at 0800 for the half marathon distance and 0900 for both the 10km and 5km distances. Depending on numbers there may be a number of waves. You will be notified of this prior to race day.
  • The ‘new for 2024’ flagship distance is a multi terrain half marathon. We have introduced new routes for both the 10km course and 5km course, both of which are also multi-terrain. Historically a normal road-running shoe has been the preferred choice of footwear. (Please note, organisers reserve the right to alter the run course if necessary).
  • The half marathon course consists of a mixture of local country lanes, public footpaths, a golf course, the Ludlow race course and Oakley Park, before the final push up and over the beautiful Whitcliffe Common. The 10km route takes in a local bridleway and some fields before also going through Oakley Park and onto Whitcliffe Common. The 5km course consists of two laps of Whitcliffe Common. The Whitcliffe section of all three distances will be on a mixture of grass and footpath. View the courses here.
  • Race entries are as follows: Ludlow Half (£30)     Ludlow10 (£20)     Ludlow5 (£15) – enter online – there will be a limited amount of entries on the day if there are spaces available.

  • To enter the race visit the ‘How To Enter’ section on the website and follow instructions. Entry to the race is done online – there will be a limited amount of entries on the day if there are spaces available.

    Online entry is being managed by Race Space.

  • The minimum age for entry for the Ludlow Half is 17 years old on the day of the race. The minimum age for the Ludlow10 is 15 years old on the day of the race. The minimum age for the Ludlow5 is 11 years old on the day of the race. Any runner under the age of 16 will need permission from a parent or guardian, who will need to sign a waiver at registration, on their behalf.
  • You will compete in the age group that you are in on the day of the race.

  • Runners will collect their race pack from Ludlow Rugby Club prior to the run on the day of the race. The race pack will include your race number and timing chip. Full details of where, when and how to pick up your race pack will be announced approximately one week before the race day. Your race guide will be emailed to you a week prior to the event and will also be available to download from the website. If changes need to be made to the registration process you will be notified.

  • Although there will be no time limit cut offs for any of the distances, we anticipate that the Half Marathon distance will be completed in three hours or under, the 10km distance in two hours or under and the 5km distance in under an hour.
  • Yes. There will be prizes for age group winners. Full details of prizes will be announced closer to race day.
  • You are eligible for a full refund (minus 6% online booking fee) up until one calendar month prior to the event. The final date to be eligible for a refund is 13 June 2024. To be eligible for a refund you must email us at harriet@andalievents.com

    Transfer: You are eligible to transfer your entry to another competitor. The final date to be eligible for a transfer is 07 July 2024 at 23.59. To be eligible for a transfer, you must email us at harriet@andalievents.com

    Deferral: You are eligible to defer your entry to the following year’s Ludlow10. The final date to be eligible for a deferral is 7 July 2024 at 23.59. To be eligible for a deferral, you must email us at harriet@andalievents.com .  Entries can only be deferred once.

  • Absolutely, we encourage athletes to bring family and friends with them. The run course offers a number of sections where spectators can follow their athletes. Ludlow is a beautiful town with a host of shops, cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants to spend your time while the athletes are out there having fun. This year the Green Festival is also running in the town centre, which will definitely be worth a visit.
